cramp bark - is used for bronchial, gastrointestinal, genitourinary and skeletal muscle spasms. Due to its astringent and antispasmodic nature it is mostly useful for menstrual cramps but can also helpful with asthma .
black cohosh - is an excellent anti-spasmodic well suited where asthma
licorice root - sweet and soothing can be used to calm stomachs, and reduce coughs
lobelia - relaxes the system while it stimulates the lungs, making it especially usfu for coughs and asthma.
mullein - is considered beneficial for the lungs because it is an expectorant. This means that the herb may help the body remove excess mucus from lungs and soothes the mucus membranes with its emollient properties. It is therefore excellent for helping with the relief of bronchitis, heavy coughing, chest colds and even asthma.
black cumin seed - are thought to exhibit anti-histaminic, anti-inflammatory and immune enhancing effects. TQ is believed to account for the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, partially through inhibiting inducible nitric oxide in response to oxidative stress. TQ can inhibit 5-lipoxygenase (especially relevant to asthma). A very small study looked at 30 asthmatic children who were also sensitized to house dust mite and were receiving sublingual immunotherapy. When black cumin seed in powder form was administered with probiotics and multivitamins, there was a greater improvement in symptoms than with immunotherapy alone.
elecampane - is a warm, pungent expectorant that is wonderful for damp congestion in the respiratory tract. Especially well suited when there is also a bacterial infection – and many asthmatics are prone to bronchitis and pneumonia.
fenugreek - reduces mucus and fever
thyme - may aid relief from coughs, bronchitis, and common colds. Thyme has a pronounced effect on the respiratory system; in addition to fighting infections, it dries mucous membranes and relaxes spasms of the bronchial passages.
anise seed - Relaxing expectorant, antiseptic and carminative; good for irritant dry coughs and bronchial infections
Dosage:
Adults use 1ml one - three times a day when needed with a small cup of water to help assist with asthma conditions.
Children use one drop per every five pounds of weight one-three times a day as needed.
