Agrimony: widely used to improve respiratory conditions that may involve inflammation, such as sore throats, chronic coughing, bronchitis, and other sinus issues. For colds, coughs, and flu, it can be an effective way to speed up the recovery and healing process.
Bilberry: contains one of the most powerful antioxidants known to exist. It can be beneficial to the mucous membranes in the throat and mouth.
Chamomile: is often taken during the cold season. It has antibacterial properties and is a good immune system booster.The oil in this plant has anti-inflammatory benefits.
Comfrey: has been shown to improve the functioning of the respiratory system and is beneficial for people suffering from cough, asthma and bronchitis due to it’s anti-inflammatory properties and it’s action of relaxing the bronchial walls.
Elecampane: is used for conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, intestinal worms, and many others.
Eucalyptus: People use eucalyptus for many conditions including asthma, and bronchitis. It also contains chemicals that might have activity against bacteria and fungi. Eucalyptus oil contains chemicals that might help pain and inflammation. It might also block chemicals that cause asthma.
Lavender: antiseptic. The nice scent opens the air passages and loosens phlem while it kills the germs that cause the infection.
Licorice root: is anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral, antioxidant and antispasmodic in nature. It is probably best known for it’s expectorant and demulcent activity.
Lobelia: is used for breathing problems including asthma, bronchitis, whooping couch, and shortness of breath. Lobelia contains chemicals that might thin mucus (phlegm) to make it easier to cough up (expectorate) and help breathing, especially in people with asthma.
Marshmellow root: Marshmallow root provides natural mucilage that supports, soothes, and moistens mucous membranes of the respiratory, digestive, and urinary tracts.
Marjoram: is commonly used for runny nose, coughs, colds, infections, and various digestion problems. Early research shows that taking 2 drops of marjoram oil daily along with asthma medication for 3 months might improve lung function in people with asthma better than taking asthma medication alone.
Mullein: reduces the formation of mucous.
Thyme: The antibacterial properties are valuable in combatting bronchitis and coughs.
Violet: strengthen the immune system and reduce inflammation in the respiratory system. Its mucilaginous properties work as an expectorant to remove mucous from the body.
Dosage:
Adults use 1 ml one - two times a day as needed.
Not recommended for prolong use. Advised to stop use for 6 straight days of each month.
